PROJECT 1 :
Diagramming Architectural Principles
The project emphasizes on the process of learning from precedents by analyzing design objectives and principles. Students learn to approach architecture in consideration of site context, architecture spaces, construction and investigate architectonics.
DESIGN INTENTION AND PROCESS
This project requires students to work in groups of 5-6 people and conduct research to analyse an assigned building through the understanding of design intentions, design principles and the making of architectonics such as solid, lines and frames and interpret them with architectural diagrams.
The outcome of the project is to have a set of architectural drawings, a series of analysis diagrams and diagrammatic models in the aspects of concepts, structure, space planning, context and circulation, and compose them on presentation boards. A pre-recorded presentation video is made in case of systematic issues during live presentation.
