PROJECT 1 :
The Serial Geometric Transformation
This project consists 6 parts This which serves to showcase students' exploration process to understand the design process and application of architectural design elements, principles and form transformation. Students go through series of workshop to learn to translate ideas through various design principles, translation, and interpretation to transform diagrams from 2- dimensional into 3-dimensional design. The Serial Geometry Tattoo Transformation workshops guides students and tutors to work closely in a vigorous design process.

DESIGN INTENTION AND PROCESS
For part 1 we were to generate tattoo stamps using the concept of circle, square and triangle with accordance to 1 design principle and 1 design element in freehand. For part 2 we were to refine part one by using proper line weights, ruler and other tools. For part 3 we were to choose 2 tattoo stamps from part 2 and develop the design using composition. For part 4 we were to choose 1 tattoo stamp from part 3 and develop a model from the concept of the tattoo stamp. For part 5 we are to choose 1 model from part 4 and create2 of each 3 types of models which are built up to a cube, dissect or sculpture a cube and skeletal frame. For part 6, we were to choose 1 model from part 5 which suits the descriptive word and refine it for the presentation board and explain the design process from part 1 to 6 as well.

I learned the concepts of design elements, principles, compositions and transformation techniques which were new to me.
2. THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
My group and I discussed and refined our designs after getting comments and suggestions from our tutor.
3. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
My group and I exchanged ideas and communicated well.
